The Triplex history
TRIPLEX AS was established in 1933 as P. Bjørshol Mek. verksted A/S, ond is now intemationally recognised as the manufacturer of TRIPLEX net winch equipment and deck canes to the fishing industry, and anchor handling equipment to the offshore fleet.
The introduction by the company of the Triplex Net Winch in the mid sixties revolutionised seine net fishing in most areas around the globe. Since then, the company hos been engaged in the continuous devellopment and improvement of the manufacturing process and the products. Production is corried out in a state of the art plant using modem machinery.
New and related products have been designed in the woke of the Net Winch, fully developed and adopted to the requirements of the various markets and market segments. The Triplex net handling system includes, apart from the net winch itselt a transport roller, net crane, cork line stacker and ring needles. Two deck cranes are also normally included in the equipment package.
Triplex AS works continuously on the development of new products while simultoneously continuing the development of existing products.
Triplex products are sold in more than 40 countries and can be found in vessels on every sea ond ocean around the globe.
