Triplex to deliver cranes to the - R/V Cabo de Hornos
Triplex AS has been selected as supplier of deck equipment for the new Chilean oceanographic Multipurpose Research Vessel that will be built by ASMAR for the Chilean Navy
The package will be delivered in the second quarter of 2009 and includes:
- Three deck cranes
- Davits
- Guide pins
- Oceanographic frames
- Hydraulic power packs
The content of the package is similar to the package delivered to the Irish research vessel Celtic Explorer back in 2002.
The 71m long vessel, R/V Cabo de Hornos, is being built to develop research in oceanography and fisheries.
